During that year the general assembly passed two important resolutions - one calling for the establishment of the modern state of Israel, and one that passed the universal declaration of human rights. Both resolutions draw from the wellsprings of the most necessary of all human attributes - eternal hope for a better world. I could think of few more awe-inspiring historical events than those two."
